The water used in spa may contain minerals which are generally sodium, magnesium, calcium, iron, bromine and iodine. Other minerals can also be added depending upon the requirement. Hot tubs, steamers, rotary brush and soda fountains are commonly used in spa. Other equipments are also used for manicure and pedicure.
Spa can be useful for many diseases including arthritis, skin problems, muscular pain and fatigue etc. but it must be consulted with a doctor before starting this therapy because it can have some adverse effects in the case of pregnancy and cardiovascular diseases.
